GPS Tracer - Options

Input/Output functionalities

With this option, the GPS Tracer has

• 4 Input ports
• 4 Output ports

The physical connection is made with the large connector at the back of the module.

The Input ports are activated by an entering electrical signal, and can then execute any action allowed by the Tracer, like send a SMS alert, activate an Output, log a GPS position...

The input can be the car's alarm activation, a temperature sensor detecting too high temp (refrigerating truck), the engine stop,...

TheOutput ports are activated by an action coming from the Tracer, which generates an electrical contact.

The activating action can be the reception of a call from a defined phone, the reception of a SMS command, the activation of an Input port, an overspeed, the vehicule stopping,... The electrical contact that is generated is generally used to feed a small relay, which will command any electrical device that seems useful.
Exemple of use : Engine shutdown, klaxon activation, driving lights, ...

Any I/O port can also be remotely activated by SMS

Engine shutdown

This is the most wanted appliction of I/O functionnalities. For legal and security reasons, we don't allow the engine shutdown while the vehicule is driving : in fact, we detect the moment when the driver stops the engine, and we prevent it from restarting. The shutdown command can be executed any time, it will be stored in the Tracer's memory, and proceeded at the first engine stop.

With the 4 inputs and outputs, combined to the multiples settings possibilities of the GPS Tracer, every problems are sure to find a solution.

220v power supply

To upload the location datas from the Pro GPS Tracer, it must be connected to a PC with the serial cable included in the package, but it also has to be powered. It is very possible to use a battery or a booster or any power supply giving at least 1A and6 to 31V, but for clients who are not very keen on DIY, we are offering this power adaptor, fitted with the connector that plugs on the Tracer.

Backup battery

Thefts often disconnect the car's battery after their wrongdoing. In such a case, the backup battery allows about 1 day of operation to the GPS Tracer, which is much enough to locate one's good. The GPS Tracer has a built in charging module which guarantees the backup battery to be always fully charged.
